The Full Story

The first mention of the "Harringay Arms" is in the 1891 Census, listed as being at 4 Chapel Place - the name for Crouch Hill at the time.

Traditionally an Irish pub, the Harringay Arms has been through many hands and phases since then.

Today it is run by Clay, a Mancunian who has worked in pubs since he was sixteen. After learning all the tricks of the trade through hard graft and work at large companies, he took the plunge himself and took over this gem of a pub, determined to put his own stamp on it.

Clay knew he wanted The Harringay Arms to become the best live music venue in Crouch End, with a focus on inclusivity. He has transformed this quiet local into a popular and lively music venue featuring regular gigs, drag nights and delicious food from our Italian kitchen. A dog owner and lover, we are also dog and family friendly and have a lovely beer garden!

An LGBTQI+ staple in Crouch End, the Harringay Arms is a safe space for all.

We can't wait to serve you!
